MAMA WATCHING OVER US
Oil on Canvas – 22″ x 28″
During the 1940’s and 50’s parents in the neighborhood watched over their children while the children played outside. The parents would watch, either, from a window, sitting on the porch or standing by talking to a neighbor. Parents was careful not to allow the children to wander far away from home out of sight without supervision. The area where we visited Ghosta Coon was located in the back of our house near the wooded area.
