Description

“In the Fields” is a sequel to “End of the Day”. “In the Fields” is depicted as I remember it was as a young boy growing up in Florida. The tobacco fields  were located near Orlando and in Kissimee, Florida. We would get up before dawn and travel to Kissimee and work till dusk, pulling tobacco leaves for 20-25 cents per box. My granddaddy and other men would build fires in large cans before the sun came up to keep warm. The children’s job was fetching water and serving it to the women and men workers. by The age of 10 yrs. old the children would join the adults in the fields working the crops.

The original painting is 28″ x 30″ Oil on canvas. (SOLD). The Lithograph is a charcoal reproduction size 14″ x 17″ printed on Strathmore 100% acid free, 80lb cover stock.      Signed by the Artist.
